Connect with me

My Principles:
I work with real people, real lifestyles, real homes. I promote ‘tidy enough', not perfection.
I aim to empower you to have confidence in your decisions. You are the expert on your own life.
I favour simple solutions. Systems should make less work, not more.
I believe that we all have the capacity for change.
I advocate for doing your best, and acknowledging limitations with forgiveness.
Decluttering and organising is highly personal in some ways, and widely universal in others. You are individual, but not alone.
I welcome clients with autism, ADHD, chronic disorganisation, and hoarding behaviours.
My process is a blend of two approaches:
Deep listening:
We’ll take time to explore your challenges and goals, and how you think and feel along the way. Understanding exactly what’s getting in your way is key to creating lasting solutions.
Through active listening and gentle open questions I can help you to explore your options, and reach decisions.
Taking action:
Many people who come to me feel “stuck” and struggle to take action. Getting over that hurdle and taking the first steps can often be the hardest part.
I’ll provide encouragement and practical advice to keep you moving along. When working together in person I will also physically assist you with organising, lifting and carrying, as well as taking items for donation.
Switching between these two approaches during our time together makes sure that you get the most out of my knowledge and experience, while still being in the driving seat, and making lasting changes in mindset.
Working remotely:
There are many reasons you might prefer to work remotely. It could be geographical distance, health reasons, or personal preference. I am very happy to work in this way and find that it can be very effective.
Some clients like to declutter and organise during our sessions, while others use the session as an opportunity to review, problem solve, and plan in between their own solo sessions.
"To be rid of a heap of clutter that I couldn’t do on my own due to becoming overwhelmed at the size of the task. Your calmness, helpful suggestions and support when I wavered. It was such a relief to work with someone who wasn’t family and who could look at the situation objectively."

"You are very kind, knowledgable and thoughtful. I particularly like that you let everyone move at their own pace and will remove items when they're ready to do so. You understand everyones needs and thought processes and this is important especially when working with personal items. I had a wonderful experience working with you and I would like to work together again in the future. Thank you again for all your help!"

"I wanted to let you know what a big difference you have made to us/me. The house is much more organised and I am much better and working out what I can throw away."

"Amy's non-judgemental attitude has been greatly appreciated throughout our work together and she has helped me clear clutter from my home and also from my head. I can see where I can now make changes and the bouts of overwhelm are now, thankfully, few and far between. Making the mind maps - seeing the challenge ahead of me but in bitesized pieces (broken down by room) helped control overwhelm. Throwing away photos I hadn't looked at for years was far easier than I expected!"

"Amy and I have been working together remotely for a few years now. My situation was always going to take some time; a combination of chronic illness, hoarding parents' examples and some big unforeseen life events made decluttering, which can already be a huge task, seem almost impossible sometimes. But doing this together with Amy helps me keep making progress depending on my abilities at that time. Her help has been invaluable. She is definitely very well-equipped to handle more complicated situations and can help you get to the root of things and make lasting changes. I feel very seen by her, she doesn't jump to conclusions or make wrong assumptions and that creates a very safe space. Also, I always have a good time during our sessions. She's a lovely person and I look forward to our online sessions every week."
